Christmas Day. Usually it’s just another day on the calendar for me. Today, however, I’m saddened with the passing of the Godfather of Soul. James Brown died early Christmas morning, leaving behind a legacy of soulful music, powerful lyrics, and sensual moves.

I went to my first concert in quite a while Saturday night. The last one previous was the Black Crowes at a crowed PromoWest Pavilion. That show was supposed to be outdoors, as it was the dead of summer, my brithday, July 26th.
